Summer Wedding Survival Guide for Men
Summer, the most beautiful time to get married...but for the guest attending the wedding, it can be the hottest. Women have it easy, by wearing their cute little summer dresses, they stay cool and fashionable all at the same time. A summer wedding, however, could pose a fashion challenge for men. How do you look sharp without sacrificing comfort? Here is the perfect Summer Wedding Survival Guide for Men...
1. Wearing a light weight suit is a MUST, regardless if the ceremony is in or outside. Suits come in a wide variety of weights for every season. If you dont want to be sweating bullets while waiting for the bride and groom to say "I do," invest in a summer-friendly suit. Linen is always a great choice. The material is light and breathable.
2. Choose a light color palette. Just like choosing a light weight suit, picking the color of your suit is very important as well. You want to choose colors that won't draw additional heat to the suit. Darker colors take in more light and more heat.
3. Keep it simple! Wear light accessories. A lot of men forget to adapt their accessories for the warmer season. For example, a silk tie could be subbed for a more microfiber one, which are lighter and have more movement to them. Men should also try to switch out leathers and metals. Instead of wearing a leather belt, try a canvas belt.

“Fashion is about change and, for me, the philosophy is always the same ... that the clothes have to be really modern and make women look really beautiful, ... But, it's fun to keep changing and to change the silhouettes, to change the fabrics and to change the color. Color this fall is really going to change too, because there is color.” -Calvin Klein

Picking the Right Suit for your Body
American Suit:
An American-Style Suit is best for larger bodies and was first created o accomodate the larger frames of many Americans compared to their European counterparts. Two classic suits that still make it appropriate for today's larger men are the three-button, single-breasted blazer and the plain-front trousers. A three-button blazer, like a two-button blazer, will never go out of style; however, the three-button blazer, particularly when the top button is left undone, has the advantage of elongating the body of a heavy-set man, thereby making him appear taller and thinner.
British Suit:
English suits are most flattering on average and athletic body types. British suits tend to confer an authoritative appearance on their wearer. Like a uniform, the shape of the suit also follows the line of the body quite closely and puts emphasis on the chest. Other features of English-style suits include soft shoulders and slightly shorter jacket sleeves. Men with very V-shaped, athletic bodies will benefit from a single-breasted, two-button blazer in which the lapels sit higher up on the chest in order to reduce emphasis on the width of the shoulders. The nipped-in waist of the British suit, as well as its tapered sleeves, are also good for athletic bodies as these features emphasize other areas of your body and take attention off your top half.
Continental Suit:
The traditional aspects of Italian suits have been a close cut, severe shoulders, a shorter length, and small, high armholes. Also, these suits are usually single-breasted with two buttons, have slim-cut trousers with a lower rise and a ventless back to slim the figure further.
